I'm pregnant!

Congratulations! I will help you to ensure you have a solid foundation from which to navigate pregnancy and, beyond that, the world of motherhood. I can support you whichever stage of pregnancy you are at and whatever your current fitness level, whether you're already a mum or you're set to be a first-timer.

Personal Training

Pregnant women are encouraged to be physically active. The current guidelines for pregnancy exercise recommend that pregnant women clock up 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise each week, with muscle strengthening activites twice a week. I can help you to hit these targets, while also supporting you to get to know your body better during pregnancy and to learn to move it in a way which is nourishing and beneficial for it. If you are unsure of what to do because of an issue like diastasis recti, incontinence or pelvic organ prolapse, or you're grappling with tiredness, nausea of other issues, I can support you through this too.

Our sessions will generally incorporate:

  • strength training

  • conditioning

  • focused core/pelvic floor work

 

Sessions take place in a dedicated space at my home in Barnes with an assault bike, TRX, dumbbells, kettlebells, barbell, olympic plates, wall bars and lots more fun pieces of kit.

Prices are:-

Single session £75

Block of 6 sessions £425

Block of 12 sessions £810

All prices include weekly homework sent to you via an app, so you can keep momentum between our sessions, too.

This one-to-one session is for pregnant mums who want to learn how to stay safe, strong, fit and healthy during pregnancy, but who cannot commit to regular personal training sessions. It is tailored to meet your needs, and is suitable for you regardless of your level of fitness and whether this is your first pregnancy or not.

 

During the masterclass, I will: 

  • teach you what your core is, how your pregnancy affects it

  • give you an awareness of issues like diastasis recti, incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse

  • teach you some effective stretches and releases

  • coach you through diaphragmatic breathing, and guide you how to re-establish optimal breathing patterns after baby is born

  • coach you how to do your pelvic floor exercises properly

  • teach you safe lifting techniques (particularly invaluable if this is not a first pregnancy and you have toddlers or older children to care for)

  • take you through a balanced exercise session tailored to your current abilities and appropriate for your stage of pregnancy

  • guide you on how to regress specific exercises as your pregnancy progresses
